SUMMARY:Connecticut Fights the Civil War Zoom Event
DESCRIPTION:Connecticut Fights the Civil War: How a Little State Won a Big War \nWhat was Connecticut’s role in the Civil War?  We had no battles\,\nour population wasn’t nearly as big as many other Northern States\,\nand we certainly weren’t the harbingers of abolitionism.  Yet little\nConnecticut played an oversized role in the war. In the Spring of 1861\, all eyes were on\nour New England home. \nJoin Dr. Matt Warshauer\, professor of History at Central Connecticut State University\,\nas he explores the nuances of Civil War Connecticut. \nPlease register by going to the Torrington Historical Society’s Eventbrite page or by clicking the link below \nCT Fights the Civil War \n
